SumApps Unified Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 13, 2026
Welcome to SumApps ("we," "us," or "our"). We develop a suite of web platforms, browser extensions, and digital tools designed to respect your privacy. This Unified Privacy Policy explains our core "privacy by design" philosophy and how data is handled across all our services, alongside specific details for individual applications.
1. Global Privacy Principles
Across all SumApps projects, we adhere strictly to the following fundamental principles:
- Privacy-First Minimal Collection: For most of our tools, we do not require account registration. However, specific services (like ShinFlow) offer optional account features to provide cloud synchronization for your personal projects. In such cases, we only collect the minimum necessary information (e.g., email address) to facilitate these features.
- Local-First Architecture: Our tools are designed to operate primarily on the client side. Your files, images, and data are processed entirely within your local browser or device.
- No Data Selling or Tracking: We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to outside parties. We do not use tracking cookies for behavioral advertising.
- Basic Technical Logs: The servers or third-party hosting services we use (e.g., Firebase, standard CDNs) may automatically record anonymous, standard web metadata (such as IP addresses, browser types, and timestamps) essential for security and technical stability.
2. Service-Specific Addendums
While our global principles apply everywhere, certain applications utilize specific technologies or permissions to function correctly.
SumApps Main Website (sumapps.net)
- Local Storage: We use browser Local Storage solely to remember your preferred language setting (e.g., sumapps_lang for "en", "zh", "jp") ensuring a seamless experience upon your return.
- Third-Party Assets: We utilize Google Fonts and Unpkg (for Rough.js) to deliver interface assets. These providers may receive technical metadata (like IP addresses) during standard asset delivery.
ShinFlow
- Authentication & Cloud Storage: If you choose to log in via Google or email, we collect your email address and basic profile information to manage your account. Your custom knowledge graphs are stored securely in our cloud infrastructure to enable cross-device access. This data is private to your account and is not shared with third parties.
- Data Processing: For non-logged-in users, ShinFlow remains a client-side tool where JSON files are processed exclusively in your local web browser.
- State Management: We use browser storage (via Zustand) to save UI preferences and temporary session state.
- Third-Party Assets: ShinFlow utilizes Google Fonts and Lucide React.
TabLogic
- Browser Permissions: The "Web history" permission is required strictly for real-time, local operations. It is used on your machine solely to read URLs and tab titles for sorting and grouping purposes. No browsing history or web content is transmitted externally.
- Data Sync: If you enable Cloud Sync, your custom sorting rules and preferences are synced securely using your Google Account's native Chrome Sync infrastructure. We have absolutely no access to this synced data.
RakuLife
- Sensitive Data Processing: Core features like ID photo processing and address conversion run completely locally. Your photos and addresses are never uploaded to our servers.
- Hosting: RakuLife is hosted on Google Firebase, which may collect standard network logs for performance monitoring.
- AI Models: The ID photo feature utilizes
@imgly/background-removal. This library downloads necessary AI model files from its CDN (staticimgly.com) to your device, but your image data strictly remains on your machine and is never sent back to the CDN.
3. Data Security
We implement reasonable and industry-standard technical measures to maintain the security of our services. Because our architecture relies heavily on local processing, the security of your data is directly tied to the security of your personal device and web browser. We ensure our code remains secure and free of malicious dependencies.
4. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
5. External Links
Our platforms or documentation may contain links to external websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
